Join "Megobari Tours" on Imereti religious gems tour. We will start our tour by visiting the royal 11th-century Bagrati cathedral on Ukmerioni Hill, learn about its history & enjoy panoramic views of Kutaisi.

We will take the car and go to the UNESCO-protected 12th-century Gelati Monastery complex, which reflects the 'golden age' of medieval Georgia. Gelati was not simply a monastery: it was also a center of science and education, and the Academy established there was one of the most important centers of culture in ancient Georgia. Explore impressive Byzantine mosaics and wall paintings, and learn about life in the middle age Gelati.

We will continue to the magical Motsameta Monastery by car, another important spot for Georgian religion. Enjoy beautiful views of the Tskaltsitela River and listen to the legend about the Saints of the Motsameta, brothers Davit and Konstantine. After the tour you will return to Kutaiisi.
